Description of service

The cost of my monthly cable internet is just ridiculous. I used to work for the company that I have service through and when I worked there I thought it was wrong to charge such a high amount for services. I internet is pretty fast but I really don't see a difference between DSL and cable until you get into the higher packages.

Review of Service

My internet is pretty good. It hardly goes out which does say something but I have been having some problems the last few weeks where the internet is really slow and the pages don't respond. My email has also been screwed up and very very slow.

I have called in the past but nothing has been done. They want me to return the modem but the local office is like two hours away. I am not driving two hours just to return a modem so I don't get a service fee.

Tips

When getting new service some companies don't mention a promotion due to the fact they want people to pay full price of service instead of getting a discount. Ask your representative for the current promotions running. Most of the times there are promos running for new services. Ask about all fees associated with the service including first bill, install fees, and monthly charges.

Getting your first bill after the service is installed can be a surprise if your not prepared. Most first bills are prorated for the time of service and the regular monthly bill. Ask the rep for a free install as well most of the time they will bend and give you one.
