the Price of Flute Lessons

I wanted to learn the basic techniques of playing a flute. So i enrolled myself for group flute lessons. The classes were to be held three times a week and the duration of each class was to be 45 minutes. The charges were $10 per class.

I think that those classes were not good. I could not attend those classes for more than two weeks owing to the poor quality. There was nothing good about those classes. The group was a very large one and the teacher, he was pathetic. I agree that he himself was a very good flute player but in my opinion, he knew nothing about the theory. Had someone offered me to attend such classes for free, even then i would not have joined these classes.

I would not recommend anyone to attend flute classes in a group, especially at the very beginning because there is a huge difference between the learning ability and progress of each student. The basics must be understood and must be clear in each and every student's mind, only then can one learn playing a flute; and this cannot be done in a group. So i very strongly recommend you to go for private classes.
