Description of service

I took intermediate flute lessons for several months. The cost per hour long session was $45.00. The classes were held at a local music store that also teaches lessons in their studio.

Review of Service

I was in a sort of strange place, experience wise, as I'd taken about 7 years of lessons when I was younger but hadn't played much in 5 years or so. I wanted to take classes but knew that a group lesson was out of the question as I was neither a beginner nor did I feel I was ready to dive into an intermediate class headfirst.

I decided to take one on one classes for a few months to get myself un-rusty and then join a group class, which is much cheaper. My experience with these one on one classes was great. The teacher was very patient and worked around my experience to get me up to par. She also stayed late a few times when we were just getting to a good place and did not charge me for the extra time.

Tips

If you are starting to pick up an instrument after taking some time off it is wise to take one on one lessons, even though they are typically more expensive, to get yourself back int the groove.
