Description of service
Our son needed to go to the dentist for a toothache he was having, when I called to schedule him an appointment, the nurse said we would get his bi yearly visit out of the way as well. They cleaned his teeth and advised us that our son had some adult teeth growing in and the pain he was feeling was the baby teeth being pushed out. The total cost of our visit, after insurance was a co pay of $25 and that covered the cleaning, x-ray and a visit from the doctor.
Review of Service
My son likes this service. I think it's because he gets a toy afterwards, and our dentist is very nice and doesn't scare you with all sorts of sharp looking objects that most dentist just leave laying around in every room. My son was given a prescription for pain, a very weak pain killer. His tooth fell out about three nights later, just as the dentist had said, and he put it under his pillow that night for the tooth fairy.
Tips
The dentist can be quite expensive if you don't have some sort of coverage. Even if you don't have insurance there are plenty of public health facilities that will do it for free, or at a very low cost.
