the Cost of Dodge Repair

This is the price we recently paid to have a new window motor installed for our 2002 model Dodge Durango. The window that was repaired was the front passenger side window. The price included the part as well as the price for labor to install the part. The repair was completed in one day. The part does have a three year warranty that covers defects in the functioning of the window motor.

The technicians were friendly and helpful. The repair was completed efficiently and the window works just fine now. However, we decided to go to our local auto parts and supply store to see how much the window motor was typically priced. As it turns out, the price for the window motor was about one hundred dollars. So, we paid about three hundred extra dollars to have the motor installed. We have also learned that these motors are quite easy to install. I know that mechanics have to make a living and charge the customer for labor. But, I really feel like the labor price on this repair was ridiculous.

Ask friends and family if they know of a reputable mechanic who does not over charge clients. Also, some repairs are easier than you might think, so consider performing the repair yourself if possible.
