I love how my hair looked when I had it straightened. My hair has a natural wave to it in some places, and some major curl in other places. When I try to straighten my own hair, it ends up rather smooth on top, but still curly underneath. My husband and I had a special dinner to attend for his work, and I wanted my hair to be smooth, sleek, and shiny. I was not disappointed. The salon was quiet and peaceful, and didn't allow children inside (which was certainly a benefit for me). And even though I was only having my hair straightened, I was treated to the spa-like atmosphere, relaxing teas, and soft, soothing music while the stylist shaped and perfected my hair. The result was shiny, smooth, soft, and super straight hair which I was able to keep for about three days until I had to wash it! I will certainly go back there again.

It is really hard to find a stylist who works well with your hair. Give a trial run, if necessary, if you have a big event coming up to make sure the stylist can do what you ask, and to make sure your expectations are realistic. Ask friends and family if there is anybody they highly recommend for their hair. You may find somebody you love and never go anywhere else!
