Description of service
I had a eye exam for 125.00 with a eye doctor specialist since I have graves disease. Before I was diagnosed with graves disease. The doctor I seen sent me in for a cat scan and said it was normal when He viewed the cat scan but for the swollen eye lids which was obvious.
Review of Service
The service was good as far as the exam. He tested my eyes, and sent me for a cat scan in hind site I never would have went for the cat scan since I have graves disease and that is due to hyperthyroidism. However the first regular doctor I went to see didn't do the blood test even though hyperthyroidism is in My family. If the blood test would have been done first I could have avoided the added expense of the cat scan. However this is to blame on the regular doctor who sent me there instead. I initially thought I had been bit by a spider between My eyes.
Tips
Honestly if You have a certain problem that runs in the family I would try to find a doctor who can do things as cheaply as possible such as with the blood test first since it costs only around 250.00 for that test and after insurance rakes them over the coals I had to pay 5-6 something per test. The cat scan on the other hand had medication that costs almost as much as 3000.00 it was 2900.00 something dollars.
