I paid for an abdominoplasty or a tummy tuck as it is commonly called. The $4250 included the surgeons fees, the anesthesia, and the facility cost as well as medication. I had lost weight and needed the extended abdominoplasty. The surgeon went in and removed excess skin and tighten the muscles as well. The fee also included a post op exams to make sure all was healing correctly.

My surgeon did an excellent job. He was very thorough in describing what he was going to do and what I needed to do to prepare. He made me very comfortable and the cost wasn't too pricey compared to other prices. My stretch marks were removed & everything looked really good so far. I noticed significant redness radiating up from my belly button some time after surgery, so my surgeon prescribed me an antibiotic and it was gone in few days. The skin becomes sensitive after operation so it needs a little care.

Research your doctor well, get multiple opinions and talk to previous patients if possible. Verify all credialts with the correct agencies and don't be too stuck on the price, the cheapest doctor may not always be the best choice. This is your body, not a building project- the job should not always go to the lowest bidder.
