the Cost of Graphic Design Services

I run a small business that specializes selling stuff on an online auction site for people. I wanted a very basic flyer to be designed, but I have no such skills in the field. So I called a close friend who is a graphic designer and asked him if he wanted to make a bit of extra cash doing some freelance work. I paid him $200 for a flier design which from my understanding took about four hours. Considering I couldn't do it myself I'm more than happy to pay someone this much money.

I wanted a basic flier that I could easily insert products for sale onto so I could mail them to specific demographics that I think would be interested in the items. I can insert close to ten items easily and mail them out. This flier is very handy and cheap to use for increasing business. Some people could easily do it themselves, but I needed the help of a professional. I call the design piece a flier but it is similar to a newspaper insert or Sunday morning ad. Very useful piece that I can reuse every week.

Designers can vary a great deal in price. Knowing someone always helps. It may be a cost that you don't want to spend for your company, but as they say you have to spend money to make money. This is exactly what happened in this situation.
