the Price of a Dental Filling

After brushing my teeth I happened to notice a little black spot all the way in the back of my mouth on one of my teeth. I made a dentist appointment almost immediately, they actually got me in the very next day. I didn't have any insurance either, so I explained my problem and they said the whole visit including x-rays shouldn't be more than $150.00, which sounded very reasonable. Once I got into their office, they called me back in to the room with-in fifteen minutes. They did complete panoramic x-rays, which doesn't hurt at all. The dentist looked them over and seen that it was a cavity, and it needed to be filled.

I have had prior dental horrors, but I must say this guy did a wonderful job of making me comfortable. He had to drill out the cavity, and they filled it. They used four shots of novicaine, to numb the area before they began working. They made sure to explain everything before they started, and through out the whole process. Once it was over, my mouth was a little sore for a few hours but after that it really didn't hurt.

Make sure to ask as many questions as you would like to know answers too. It's also a good idea to call around for prices before you go too.
