Description of service

This is a review of an accounting service that is locally owned. The accountants have the proper licensing for this state. Specifically, this review pertains to income tax.

Review of Service

We were very impressed with the company we had doing our taxes. They are local and do not outsource (like several of the larger chains are beginning to do). They made sure that we had every piece of information in to their office before processing. After we gave what we thought was all of our financial data, we were called and informed that there were still a few things missing. The office was not upset, and just held thins until we had everything collected and ready to go. Though my wife was hesitant to spend the money on an accountant after doing her own taxes in the past, what we received in a refund more than made up for the initial cost.

Tips

Always ask around about who friends and family use to do their taxes. Ask if they are comfortable recommending who they use. Make sure that the person you go to is reputable; you will be giving this person all of your financial data and you want someone you can trust. Make sure you aren't "cooking the books," the better your record are, the less chance there is that you will be audited.
