Description of service

I rented two newly released DVDs from a small mom and pop video store for only $5. This store offers their new releases for one night and older titles for 5 days. Each rental costs $2.50 regardless of it being a new or older title.

Review of Service

This store is quite tiny, but they always have the movies I want to watch in stock. I've never had a problem with receiving a scratched DVD from them. That is usually an issue for me when I rent DVDs from larger chain stores. The price is very fair for keeping a movie out for a night since I usually rent movies and watch them only once. This store also doesn't slam their customers with outrageous late fees and I am very pleased with helping a local small business.

Tips

This store offers a rent one get one free offer on Wednesdays. Smaller stores usually run these promotions during the week since business is slow. It pays off to rent two older titles on a Wednesday since you're allowed to keep them both for 5 nights and only have to pay $2.50 for one movie. I'm also very friendly with the employees and they let me know if people returned the new titles before they hit the shelves. A smile goes a long way.
