the Price of Dog Grooming in Someone's Home

We decided to try one of the services that comes to your home to wash and groom the dog, and the price of $60 included $55 for the service and a $5 tip to the employee who did the work. She came to our house in a van with all of the supplies and then washed our dog in the driveway because it was nice weather outside. She dried the dog and then took her into the van for the grooming. Our dog came out with a red bow around her tail and the entire service took about an hour.

It was definitely convenient to have the groomer come to our house, but the price is a little bit expensive compared to the pet store or even taking the dog in to a grooming facility. She did a nice job and we were satisfied with the bath and the haircut, but the dog seemed uncomfortable going into a van that had the scents of lots of other dogs that were there previously. We haven't used this type of service since then and would rather have the grooming done in some other way.

Having the groomer come to your house should really only be done as a convenience and on an occasional basis because it could be traumatic to your dog. Make sure you check the inside of the van before your dog goes in there to make sure it's clean and neat.
