the Price of Pediatric Tooth Extraction

My daughter fell off of a swing at the playground and her teeth were pushed out of place. I paid $230.00 to have two of my daughters teeth pulled. The bill wasn't broken down, but it also included an x-ray, gas, a shot, and tax.

I have never had to pay for this type of service before, so I'm not sure about the average cost. I feel that $240.00 is a good price, I was expecting to pay more. The nurse and dentist were extremely nice and made my daughter feel totally relaxed and comfortable. I couldn't find a babysitter for my two year old daughter, so I had to take her with me. They wouldn't allow me to stay with my daughter while her teeth were being pulled (because of my two year old), so I had to watch her from the side. I really didn't like the idea of leaving her alone, however, the nurse held her hand and talked her through the procedure. It worked out fine.

When looking for a pediatric dentist, I suggest getting recomendations from family, friends, or your pediatrician. Going to the dentist can be scary for children, so you really want a dentist that is friendly and good with children.
