Description of service
I moved from Chicago to San Diego. I packed everything but the movers loaded the truck in Chicago and took it San Diego. Then they unloaded the truck in San Diego.
Review of Service
The biggest hassle with this was how long it took. It took almost 3 weeks for my things to arrive in San Diego. I don't remember the specific estimate on time but it was much less time than 3 weeks, I know that much. The movers offered to put extra padding and tape on some of my valuables like televisions, furniture, etc. I thanked them very much. It turns out I was charged for the materials to do this. Which is fine, I just feel like they should have told me. The actual moving part of it was fine. They handled my things carefully and nothing was broken in the move. When they left my apartment in Chicago though they left behind all their empty tape rolls and some other trash just lying on the floor. I didn't really appreciate that.
Tips
Your goal here should be to have your things moved safely and quickly. Don't expect to get great service. Make sure you read your contract thouroghly as there can be some surprises in there.
