My experience with a Tubal Ligation was very quick and painless. I consulted with my physician about two months prior to the actual event. I believe that was to give me time to make sure this was the correct decision for me. It was to be an outpatient procedure and I would be allowed to leave the same day. I was not allowed to eat or drink for 12 hours before the surgery. Once I was in the hospital and we met the physician, I was to be under general anesthesia. The whole event took about 20 - 30 minutes once the physician began the procedure. I was left with a tiny two inch incision scar just below my belly button, nothing to worry about, it can hardly be seen over time. I was ready to leave the hospital after being monitored for about 5 hours. It did take me about 5 days of resting to feel back to normal, even to resume my sexual activity.

The services I received were by far a great experience. I was sure this was what I wanted to do and the staff at the hospital and my doctor's office made everything go smooth and quickly.

Prior to having this procedure done, a woman must talk with her spouse to make sure this is what she wants done. It is a life changing decision that should not be taken lightly. Overall, it was easier than I had expected, and I am glad researched the service prior to accepting it.
