Description of service

Like an exam and cleaning, a similair process is used for dental sealants. Dental sealants are used to protect your teeth from decay, like a protective coating. The coatings are applied after cleaning, in a dentists office. The entire cost of the actual procedure, materials, and visit is inclusive. My child had dental sealants.

Review of Service

After learning about sealants and their importance, I was excited for my child to have the advantage. The pediatric dentist and his team were very patient and understanding of my child's concerns. They took time to explain, and demonstrate the process too. My child was kept comfortable, and a team member also took the time to eliminate boredom. The office already had a Barney video for my child to watch during the 45 minute visit. We are happy with the experience in general, and would be happy to recommend it to anyone!

Tips

Pediatric sealants are obviously more difficult than an adult sealant procedure. You should be sure to research and explain to your child the process in a way that he/she will understand. That will help to eliminate much of their anxiety in regard to the dental visit. The process feels much like it would to have a cleaning and exam, so one may consider taking the child for a "practice run," to ensure their willingness.
