Description of service

Participation in a bi-annual Home and Garden Show at the local convention center. Approximately 1000 different vendors. The price charged is per space. Average space size is 5x5.

Review of Service

Although attendance was down at the show, the company I worked for recieved great exposure in the community. The organizing group was very proficient in their duties; however, we contacted the group versus them soliciting our participation in the show. After the initial setup, it almost seemed as if we were forgotten. The convention center staff that maintained the area did an excellent job. The place was cleaned daily, restrooms were adequately maintained, and any needs were met immediately. I would definitely recommend using this convention center for events.

Tips

Before committing yourself to such a high expenditure, do plenty of research. Research the community, their behaviors, and other events that may affect attendance. In addition, organize a space that maximizes your business, not the products only. Many attendees only come to see what they can get for free. Be prepared to have an event that will draw attraction to your area; many vendors will do demonstrations or giveaways. Some of the best sellers that I have noticed were products that included demonstrations...depending on your product perhaps you could integrate something of that effect. Finally, be prepared to follow through. This event will generate many, many leads for you to build future business from.
