Description of service

Installation and repair of new or existing hardwood floors, as well as estimates and referrals if they could not complete the work necessary, referrals to showrooms for different styles of flooring.

Review of Service

The installers were so-so. There are a lot of mistakes that my husband and I are noticing, and my husband is wishing he would have done it himself instead of hiring somebody else to do it. There are a lot of places where the base should have been moved, and it wasn't. The installers also would not move appliances, so we had to move the kitchen appliances ourselves. They did the job rather quickly, so our new hardwood floor was installed in time for Thanksgiving, which was definitely a plus, but we are kind of wishing we had noticed some of their mistakes before they left, or that we had done it ourselves so we could make things as perfect as we wanted.

Tips

Find out ahead of time if the installers plan on moving appliances. Sometimes they will lay floor around the appliance, but if you ever decide to re-arrange your kitchen, you will have some spaces without hardwood floors. See if it is a job you are willing and/or able to do yourself, because you can save a boatload of money. It is not too difficult of a job, and most people are capable, but just not willing to do it.
