Description of service

The $475 figure represents the cost I paid per tooth for my wisdom teeth removal without any dental insurance that covered it. I had 4 teeth removed, so the total service actually cost me $1900. The service was also for the localized Novocaine and laughing gas. The alternative is to get full anesthesia (get knocked out). However, this option is very costly, and almost never covered by dental insurance, even if you do have some. In addition, expect additional costs for filling subscriptions after the removal of your wisdom teeth. I had 3 and one in particular was quite costly.

Review of Service

Getting your wisdom teeth pulled out is never a pleasant situation of any kind. I guess I got a fair deal though. Also, my teeth recovered quite well so I am pretty sure the doc did a good job. My only complaint was the discomfort afterward.

Tips

My tip would be to save money and go with the laughing gas. No reason to spend extra money (very unlikely to be covered by your insurance) for the full-anesthesia when you won't feel any pain from the localized novcaine laughing gas anyway. You will hear a little bit of unpleasant drilling noises, but nothing that hurts.
