Description of service

For this price you got the class and some supplies to make a cell phone or MP3 player cozie. It was a two night class with each class lasting 1.5 hours. On the first visit, we made the cozie. On the second visit, we had to bring our own supplies that were discussed during the first visit and we made a scarf. We were taught by a seasoned knitter how to cast-on, basic knit and purl stitches, changing colors, and cast-off.

Review of Service

This class was so much fun and much easier than I thought it would be. At the end of the two days, I had a really pretty scarf and a weird little cozie that I ended up giving to my niece. I would recommend this class to anyone. I felt a bit intimidated at first, but when I saw others were messing up and getting frustrated just like me, I felt better. I left feeling really good about my prospects of knitting on my own.

Tips

Be patient with yourself. Knitting is NOT hard, but its just something you have to train your brain to understand. Once you get it, you get it. One thing too is that I learned to use non-natural fibers or wool when you first start. Natural fibers like cotton are really slick and hard to work with until you are experienced.
