Description of service

I paid $20 a lesson for my sons Tae Kwon Do classes. The classes he took were classes specifically for beginners.

Review of Service

This class had pros and cons. One good thing was that it was a pretty cheap, a lot cheaper than the other options we found that were available. Another good thing was that his class was all beginners. They were all learning together and that helped build their comradery. He met a lot of new kids there that he's friends with now. Another plus was that his instructor was not only very knowledgeable but also very good at working with kids. I've heard horror stories about how most children's martial arts instructors are one or the other. The downside though was that, as the classes were very cheap, the class size was large. There was virtually no one-on-one instruction. I found myself having to go to the class to observe and memorize the moves so I could try and help my son practice at home.

Tips

I think a bargain basement price like this is appropriate for a beginner class where you're just learning the basic moves. Once your child is more advanced it would probably be more cost effective to get into a more expensive class that has more one on one attention.
