the Price of a DUI Lawyer

Recent member of the family received a DUI in the local town. We hired a local lawyer at the initial cost of $5500. This amount included the lawyer doing the paperwork to bail them out of jail and go with the person before the judge. All paperwork was included. Filing of the forms was also included. It seemed fairly good.

The lawyer is a very reputable person and treated my family member very respectfully. His price is high and you must pay up front for his service which is understandable. He didn't try to do anything but what was right. He even worked with the offender to get them to take classes not only to look good for the judge but to help them get better. The case is still pending but the lawyer keeps in touch with the person and lets them know whenever anything thing comes up. My family member is getting a good service for the circumstances. The costs are fair considering what is involved.

Always know up front what the costs involved are. Check with the bar association for reputable lawyers. Make sure they specialize in DUI cases. Ask friends to recommend someone. Most of all make sure you are comfortable with the person defending you.
