I have learned Jazz for a period of two months in December last year. Dance has always been my hobby and jazz is the perfect dance to learn quick and easy but at same time Jazz is a broad term, there are many different types of Jazz Dance i choose Free jazz of them. The fee includes training and practicing at studio so it was reasonable to me.

I am very satisfied and confident after learning the Free Jazz. Technique is the foundation for all dance movement and the best part was that in the academy i was stressed on this particular point and my technique and posture was corrected timely which together make the dance beautiful. That was the best investment i had made in my life.

1. Choose the type of Jazz Dance.

There are many types of Jazz Dance: Modern, Ragtime, Blues, Dixieland, Big Band, Bebop and Free Jazz to name a few, so choose wisely according to your liking.

2. Buy appropriate clothing and other essentials.

After you've figured out your style and school, make sure you do some shopping. Consult the dress code and shop for dance clothes accordingly.

3. Observe and ask questions.

Before you jump right on the dance floor, take your time to observe and ask questions, its really important as straight away starting the dance may damage your foot.
