Description of service

I purchased a domain name for my boyfriend because he wants to invent something one day and wants the website name for it. I purchased it and paid $8.95 for one year use of the domain.

I'm not sure how to use it or make a website out of it, actually. We haven't really gotten into that yet.

Review of Service

It was easy to purchase and the domain name he wanted was available. However, neither one of us actually knows how to make a website out of this - although to be fair, we haven't tried that hard yet.

The thing that really annoys me is that I keep getting spam from this company! I used my email address for payment and my boyfriend's email address for confirmation and we are BOTH getting spam. A LOT of spam. Which somehow won't go into my spam folder even though I click "this is spam" every time. So I'm a little bit wishing that I hadn't used this company for anything because I am so tired of getting spam from them!

Tips

I absolutely wish that I had known that I would get so much junk mail from this company. Junk mail - whether paper or virtual - is one of my least favorite things ever and I don't really want any more of it than I already get. I wish that there had been some way of opting out of future notices and deals.

Other than that, I guess you should make sure that you know how to "make" the website once you get web hosting. It's not going to do us a lot of good if we don't know how to make a website out of it.
