Description of service
I pay 39.99 a month for digital cable service to my home. The service includes all of the basic cable channels plus some extra "digital" channels. The digital channels aren't very impressive, out of the 100+ channels they offer, I watch about two. I got the 39.99 price as part of a promotional offer, I had to sign an 18 month contract, in which I will stay with my cable providor for a year and a half. I do not get any of the premium channels, but I do have access to pay per view channels.
Review of Service
The service is flawless, I have no problems with my cable. The price point is good, but the contract was a worry for me at first. I figured I was going to be with whatever cable company I chose, so I don't mind the contract. The digital channels are kind of a joke, but they came with the package so I can't complain.
Tips
Ask friends and family what they have and what they pay. Being educated before you buy can help in the long run. Also know your programming. Even though I only use two of the digital channels, one of my favorite shows only appears on those channels.
