When I first moved into my house, I was not used to having a garage. Growing up, we never had a garage, so I had no experience with one. Well, one day I pulled in a bit to close and then when I tried to back out, I knocked the left rear view mirror right off. It did not completely come off, it was hanging by the electrical wires. My poor car looked like a little bird with a broken wing. So, I called my local repair shop and inquired about fixing it. They told me it would take two days to get the mirror replacement in and it would cost one hundred forty dollars for the mirror and about eighty dollars for the labor depending on how long it took. In the end, the total for the repair was $220.
Review of Service
I think I got a pretty good deal with my repair shop. I know the guys there and they have always been very fair with their prices and trustworthy with the repairs. Once the part came in, they were really quick with the repairs, they had me in and out of there. I don't have anything bad to say about the repairs they did for me.
Tips
If you need car repairs, make sure you take your car to someone you can trust, especially if you are a woman. Ask around for referrals, friends and family can help, also, try to get an estimate beforehand and ask them to honor it.
