Description of service
We ordered a three layer round cake with buttercream frosting for 60 guests. We used the bakery at our local grocery store who was quite helpful in making decisions. You can use their decorating book or could add/change different details. The order was placed 8 weeks before the wedding but could be placed up until three days prior to the event. We paid for the cake two weeks before the wedding.
Review of Service
The service we received was excellent. The baker we worked with listened to what we wanted and what our needs were for the cake. The baker allowed us to take elements from two different cakes and combine them into one. The baker also helped decide what was the best color of frosting to use with our wedding colors. In the end the cake turned out better than we imagined. The only negative to the service was the delivery. The delivery driver was unable to locate the wedding venue and arrived late.
Tips
Shop around and do taste tests. Also, don't forget abut your local bakery or grocery bakery as they may have great prices. Also, make sure to have a firm number of guests when ordering your cake as you might end up with too much or too little. Anther tip is to ask about cake cutting fees.
