Description of service

The class itself cost fifty dollars. This covered the workspace at the local restaurant supply store, the teaching, and also covered supplies such as food and pots. The class was two and one half hours.

Review of Service

The class was excellent. The teacher was a little chef from one of the restaurants in town, and had a lot of tips that could be applied to daily cooking, like making sure to dip your fingers in any batter before frying in order to protect the tips of your fingers from the oil splatters as you lowered in food. The only good thing was that we were too busy cooking to take notes! It was an excellent deal, and I probably would have paid much more without much of a complaint. We rolled sushi, filled pastries, and cooked this weird little fried dish (it was delicious).

Tips

Check around at your supermarket when you do some shopping, if they have a community bulletin board. Often times, the best deals are hiding under the car mechanic fliers. Also, see if your library or supply store is offering any classes. You might be able to snag one on the cheap, or even free, if you're lucky! You might want to bring a voice recorder to record recipes if it's a hands on class.
