The agent we used did not charge us for her service. Rather, she worked out some split arrangement with the seller's agent. She showed us dozens of homes before we settled on one.
Review of Service
Excellent service! Even though we were extremely picky she never acted as though she was anything less of completely excited to show us more homes. As we looked at home after home and shared with her the things we liked and didn't like about each one she got better at picking up on little things to show us at the new homes and little things that would be immediate deal breakers. She was very good at explaining the entire process to us and making us feel like we had complete control over the transaction.
Tips
Buying a home is obviously a huge commitment and no part of the process should be taken lightly. Do not be afraid to switch agents if you feel your agent isn't the best one suited to you. If you feel your agent is irritated with showing you too many homes or tries to push you into something you aren't very interested in or can't afford then you know it's time to walk away.
