I wanted to rent a 2 seater fishing boat for a day; and the 14' Skiff was, according to me, the best available option. It was very cheap and had four stroke stroke quiet engine. I was initially asked $100 for the boat but i managed to get the rent reduced to $85. I paid another $200 (in the form of traveller's check) as refundable security deposit. The whole amount was paid in advance.
Review of Service
The boat was in very good condition, just like a new one. The fuel was included in the rent. The only thing i didn't like about renting the boat was that i did not get any fishing equipment free of cost along with the boat. I had to shell out more money for that.
Tips
The first thing that should be kept in mind is that you should go in for advance booking as that offers you a good variety of and that too at a much cheaper rate. Prefer paying through cash because the dealers prefer cash and might offer you some more discount if payment is done through cash. Do try your hand at bargaining. Ask the dealer for some freebies, like extra fuel and some basic fishing equipment, etc.
Last but not the least, ride the boat safely and return it on time.
